A vital aspect of the World Heritage Project (WHP) is its philanthropic vision. That is why WHP has established a Canadian charity, the World Heritage Foundation, to disburse funds to qualified donees working to protect the sites and benefit the needy communities surrounding them.
DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS
It is our philosophy that philanthropy must address the cause and not just treat the symptom, especially if we want to achieve lasting results. The World Heritage Foundation will focus on achievable and sustainable development with funds allocated to three main areas:
The World Heritage Foundation will partner only with highly regarded charitable organizations, disbursing funds to charities specializing in sustainable development initiatives that will benefit the sites and improve the lives of the people in the host countries.
The World Heritage Project is committed to bringing together the best and the brightest to benefit the least. Through our media expertise and resources, we will also partner with smaller organizations and grassroots projects by assisting them in raising awareness for their causes. By assisting these organizations in conveying their messages to a wider audience, WHP will provide a boost to the fund raising efforts of our charitable partners.
The philanthropic nature of this project continues to attract influential patrons like His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, sponsors and celebrities worldwide who wish to affiliate themselves with this project. Consequently, we are seeing the growth of an international community who share our passion to preserve the world’s greatest treasures.
